Our talented artists
The College was placed joint first in the recent Inter-college Visual Arts Competition held on Sunday, 14 April 2019.
Associate Professor Christine Jasoni is an accomplished researcher, teacher and enthusiastic science communicator, and we were treated to an excellent demonstration of those qualities, along with her engaging sense of humour.
Prof. Patmans expertise in International Politics, among other things, is well known - and this talk was remarkable in that he gave an interview (recorded) on National Radio at the same time as talking to members of the College.
Dr Simon Cox, one of the Principal Scientists at GNS (https://www.gns.cri.nz/) made several points of significant importance for students - and his acceptance of the invitation was influenced in part by the reports of SMC members cleaning out the Leith.
The 2019 President of the Members' Executive, Bront Chamberlain, warmly welcomed all Members at the College's Welcome Afternoon Tea on Sunday, 17 February. Her speech is below, including many photos of Members enjoying themselves during arrival weekend.
