Tough chess competition
St Margaret's entered two teams (two people per team) in the recent Inter-college Chess Competition held in the Business School. All up 24 teams participated in an extremely tough.

Associate Professor Christine Jasoni is an accomplished researcher, teacher and enthusiastic science communicator, and we were treated to an excellent demonstration of those qualities, along with her engaging sense of humour.
Prof. Patmans expertise in International Politics, among other things, is well known - and this talk was remarkable in that he gave an interview (recorded) on National Radio at the same time as talking to members of the College.
Dr Simon Cox, one of the Principal Scientists at GNS (https://www.gns.cri.nz/) made several points of significant importance for students - and his acceptance of the invitation was influenced in part by the reports of SMC members cleaning out the Leith.
