St Margaret's College Leaders for 2018 decided

Following a recruitment and selection process, the College is pleased to announce the appointment of eight new College Leaders for 2018.

The new College Leaders are: Keerthana Ananth, Isabella Barnett, Alex Henkel, Melania Napa'a, Xavier Parackal, Priya Patel, Sera Rawson and Rutvi Soni (pictured above). The College warmly congratulates them all.

From 2018, Welfare Staff will be called College Leaders and will expand by two to make a team of 13. The additional two College Leaders (there are eleven at present) will take the place of the current House Managers (Clyde and Thorpe Houses).

Three of the new College Leaders have spent at least two years at St Margaret's: Alex Henkel (two years; the Executive's Vice-President in 2016); Xavier Parackal (two years; currently the Executive Committee's President); and Melania Napa'a (four years; currently Clyde House Manager). And of course, the other five new appointments will have had one year at the College by the time they return in the New Year.

This means that, together with five of the current Welfare Staff who are continuing in the role next year, the team of 13 is particularly well-experienced. The returning College Leaders are: Likhit Dukkipati, Anthony Goh, Mehrbano Malik, Rowan McComish and James Olliver (see separate photo below).

The Selection Committee was very impressed with the high calibre of applicants which made for an extremely competitive selection process. The College is very pleased that the vast majority of those who were not appointed have indicated that they wish to return to as Members in 2018. The College looks forward to their contributions next year.
