Such talent

Members were treated to the most amazing display of talent on the evening of Sunday, 8 September during the College's third annual Art Competition.

The competition was ably organised by the President of the Student Executive, Bronté Chamberlain, and included a visual art section and a photography section. All submitted art was on display in the Valentine Common Room for Members to view immediately after our usual Formal Dinner on Sunday evening.

Competition judges were local artists Pauline Bellamy (also a College Fellow) and Manu Berry who were also our guests at Formal Dinner. Prior to Dinner, the two judges spent 90 minutes viewing the art and making their decisions, which they said was very challenging indeed given the high quality of work entered in the competition. As the Master said, he wanted to give everyone a prize of first place!

Nathan Hill won the photography section with a magnificent photo taken in Central Otago.
