It was a pleasure to host the Mornington Club at St Margaret’s College on Tuesday morning, 10 September 2019.
The Mornington Club caters for retired people and meets on a regular basis for social and educational purposes. When approached by the President of the Club to give a talk to them about the College and the University, the Master suggested that the Club's Members may wish to come to the College for a tour and a talk.
This was readily accepted by the Club and it was the College's pleasure to host around 25 of their Members at the College on a beautiful sunny September morning.
After enjoying some morning tea, coffee and delicious baking (yummy muffins, savoury scones and saffron orange almond cake) prepared by chef Beth Henderson, the Master led a brief tour around the College. The Club's Members were very impressed with the facilities, with many asking if they could become students again and stay at the College!
The morning ended with a presentation about the College given by the Master in the Valentine Common Room.
