In true St Margaret's fashion, the Student Executive Committee has made a wonderful contribution to the life of the College in 2018.
As the academic year draws to a close with the last of the second semester examinations taking place in five days' time, the College wishes to acknowledge the amazing efforts of this year's Executive Committee.
Ably led by President Brittany Muiznieks and Vice-President Souhei Chan, the 2018 Exec comprised: Wanli Chang (Treasurer), Katie Cooper (Secretary), Laurie Duncan (1st year), Christian Edwin (Sports), Tetsu Konishi (1st year), Josephine Loo (Social), Seonwoo Nam (Food), Loame van Zyl (Cultural) and Ellen Walters (Arts).
The Exec has been admirably on task from the very beginning of the year to the very end. They provided a myriad of opportunities for College Members to get involved and be part of the St Margaret's camaraderie, starting on opening day already. It was so nice to see everyone making friends, having
fun and settling down so quickly during the very first week.
After
Orientation came various theme dinners, the mystery bus trip, the ski trip, the Ball at Larnach Castle, talent quest, the ever-popular sock tag, angels and mortals, choir, musical performances, community service, the annual magazine (amazing!), participation in the University's Inter-college Cultural and Sports Competition, etc,
etc.
The College would simply not be the same without the huge and valuable contribution made by the Exec. On behalf of the College, I would like to express heartfelt appreciation and admiration for the Exec's dedication, hard work, enthusiasm and good-naturedness in 2018. Thank you so very much.
