St Margaret's College has a proud reputation of community service and Daffodil Day this year was no exception.
Despite the mid-semester break, 20 St Margaret’s College Members who stayed on during their holidays kindly donated their time by assisting the Cancer Society in its annual Daffodil Day collection exercise.
Five members helped with the daffodil deliveries in George Street on 27 August and 15 were rostered for the bucket collection on Daffodil Day itself, namely Friday, 31 August.
When I visited their stall in the Link of the University’s ISB Building, Sonali Kanji and Dikshya Parajuli pictured above were on duty. It was nice to have a good chat with them and receive some daffodils in exchange for a donation to the Cancer Society.
The Treasurer of the Student Executive, Wanli Cheng, was instrumental in not only the organisation of the College's efforts but also overseeing everything on the day.
Thank you and well done to all Members who gave up their time to volunteer for such a great cause.
