It's difficult to believe that four months have passed since my autumn News from the Master to you all. I do hope that the year is going well for you.
It's been a pleasantly eventful year at the College, as you will see from the articles included in this newsletter.
In addition to the valuable tutorial and mentoring support we provide to our Members, we have a fun social and sporting programme that many participate in or support. For the first time, the College is participating in the University's Inter-College Sport and Cultural Competition which has been immensely enjoyable for participants and supporters alike.
Although I am three months' short of my first year as Master of St Margaret's, it feels much longer for me - in a good way! So friendly and welcoming has the College community been to me and my wife, Brenda, that we feel that this has always been our home. We've come to know Members well, taken part in many activities, watched some activities (e.g. skiing!), and generally enjoyed being part of a lovely community of young people.
It has been a pleasure meeting many College Fellows during the course of the year and having some stay at the College. Please do remember that as a Fellow of the College, you are most welcome to visit the College for a coffee or meal, have a chat with me or our staff, use the Fellows and Seniors Common Room, or interact with Members. We also have a couple of guest bedrooms should you live out of town and need accommodation while visiting Dunedin.
I trust that you enjoy the various articles included in this edition of News from the Master.
Best wishes
Dr Charles Tustin
