Our gaming team won all their League of Legends games including the final over the weekend of 17 March. The gaming competition is part of the University's Inter-college Cultural and Sporting Competitions.
The St Margaret's team comprised Christian Edwin (Sports Rep on the Executive),
Anthony Goh (College Leader), Troy Gouk-Macdonald, Jun Yeong Kim and
Seonwoo Nam (Food Rep on the Executive).
After beating Unicol 2-0 and Hayward 2-1 on 17 March, the team came up against Cumberland in the semi-finals on the afternoon of 18 March, winning 2-0. The final took place later that same afternoon/early evening, with the team beating Salmond 2-1.
The semi-final and final games took place at Toroa College, which also organised the gaming competition. The St Margaret's team members were legitimately excused from Formal Dinner at the College on Sunday evening!
The semi-finals game against Cumberland was streamed live on Sunday afternoon in the College's Valentine Common Room for Members to watch and enjoy all the action live from the comfort of the leather couches.
Well done to St Margaret's! Together with winning the Inter-college Quiz competition two weeks ago, the College is certainly off to a tremendous start in the Inter-college Cultural Competition for 2018.
