During the last few weeks of semester 1, we ran Octacan donations throughout the College. Octacan is a yearly food drive run by Presbyterian Support Otago for people in the community facing hardship.
To make things exciting and engaging, the Members’ Executive spiced it up with some competition with the winning floor set to receive their prize in Semester 2. In total, we collected 88 items for Octacan, which were taken down to the Octagon by our Dean of Students.
Overall, Octacan was a great way for our Members to help out people in need, especially during the cold winter months.
