Collecting for the Red Puppy Appeal

Continuing the College's strong community service ethic, 22 Members including Exec Treasurer, Wanli Cheng, took part in the Blind Foundation's Red Puppy Appeal on Friday, 23 March 2018.

So far this year, many of our Members have volunteered their time for worthy causes: cleaning up the Water of Leith (over 50 Members), the Relay for Life (33 Members), and now the Red Puppy Appeal (22 Members) where $307 was collected from members of the Dunedin public for the Blind Foundation.

According to the Blind Foundation, "It takes two years of rigorous training for a pup like Yates (pictured here) to become a guide dog and help his handler get around safely and confidently."

It is very pleasing and heartwarming that so many of our Members sacrifice some of their valuable time to assist with such worthy causes.
