Exec President welcomes Members to the College

The 2019 President of the Members' Executive, Bronté Chamberlain, warmly welcomed all Members at the College's Welcome Afternoon Tea on Sunday, 17 February. Her speech is below, including many photos of Members enjoying themselves during arrival weekend.

New Dean of Students settling in well

The College is delighted to welcome George Connolly as the new Dean of Students at St Margaret's. He took up his appointment on 19 November.

Renovations proceeding smoothly

Excellent progress is being made with the refurbishment of 41 bedrooms in the Main Building of St Margaret's College.

The final "meeting" of the year with this year's College Leaders was held on the lawn opposite the Museum Reserve enjoying Rob Roy ice creams.

The College is very grateful to the 2018 Executive Committee (Exec) for their generous gift of a new gazebo for use by Members in the future.

Eliza McCartney - special guest at our Valedictory Dinner

The College's Valedictory Dinner took place on Sunday, 7 October with New Zealand's pole-vaulting champion, Eliza McCartney, as the guest speaker.

St Margaret's College has won the University's 2018 Inter-college Cultural Competition. This fantastic result was announced at a special black-tie formal Awards Dinner attended by 270 people on Friday, 28 September.

Born and raised in Dunedin with a home-based education up to tertiary level, Jonathan Broadbent is now an Associate Professor in the Dental School.

Friend-Link concert enjoyed by all

Beginning in 1997, Members of St Margaret's College have put on an annual concert for Friend-Link Dunedin. The 22nd annual concert took place on Friday, 14 September 2018.

All are reminded that at the end of the academic year in November, Members should leave 24 hours after their last exam or Sunday, 11 November 2018, whichever date is the earliest.
